I've since returned the USB Dock back to CDW and got the OneLink Pro Dock. However, Ethernet isn't working (the laptop is still showing 'Network Cable Unplugged', so the laptop is defaulting to wireless/5(79). I've since returned the USB 3. However, Ethernet isn't working the laptop is still showing 'Network Cable Unplugged', so the laptop is defaulting to wireless. Also, when I try a restart in Windows, the shutdown half works fine, but the laptop seems to go to sleep. I have to press and hold the power button to get it to turn off and the press the power button again to turn it back on. I'm hoping either a fellow SpiceHead can help or maybe a green guy from Lenovo.

Hang tight! I've run into same issue. Unfortunately reinstalling drivers did not help nor did the Powersave trick. We have also tried with a new dock as well. Same issue. However in this case it is not the Pro dock and computer is S Local finnish Lenovo Support advised to re-install the whole computer. I'm just wondering if we do it ourselves can we send the bill to Lenovo? It's understandable from one point of view - get the machine into a known from-factory state so any problems MUST be Lenovo's problems.

Hi, I have a new ThinkPad x1 purchased from Lenovo and what seems like a similar problem. Ethernet works when connected directly to the computer using Ethernet-to-USB adapter.

I had this problem with the original OneDock that came with the X1, and the same problem with a replacement sent by Lenovo their service is NOT the most helpful.

Each of the installation apps driver, firmware and BIOS reported that I have the latest version not surprising as the PC is only 10 days old. If the problem remains, give your local support team a call and they will provide further help. Since my standard Executive workstation is the X1 Carbon and OneLink Pro Dock, you can imagine that I've run into this issue quite a bit since my first post. I find that the units coming from folks like CDW seem to have the issue.

X1 Carbon and Thinkpad OnelInk Pro Dock ALL Bios, Drivers, Firmware latest it had not work at all got it to work, disconnect and reconnect, prodock applicaton recognises and loads up, ext monitor ok, ethernet, mous all now ok. I miss the old docks the X's used.
